Bayern Munich 2-1 Tottenham
Romania defender Radu Dragusin told Tottenham fans the players would be training at "full throttle" as they continue preparations for the new season following a 2-1 friendly defeat to Bayern Munich in Seoul.
Having had an extended break following Romania's run at Euro 2024, the defeat to Bayern in from of 67,000 fans at Seoul World Cup Stadium was the 22-year-old's first start of pre-season.
"I want to thank all the fans that welcomed us in an incredible way that we felt very much appreciated and welcome here and I want to thank them all," Radu told the Tottenham website.
"I was excited to come back to meet the guys, to meet the staff to start training but it’s normal. We train at the highest level possible, it’s normal for it to be hard.
"We have a couple of weeks left until the first game in the Premier League and we go full throttle.
"I feel the guys are in a great condition. As I said, I’m also trying to reach that condition. I’m working everyday. We are going to be 100% come the start of the season to achieve something important."

Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur fans on their 2-1 pre-season loss against Bayern Munich:
Paul: The loss does not make us a poor team, just like the wins before did not make us a great team. It’s all about fitness. The meltdowns I am seeing are laughable, with calling players out, etc. It’s a friendly, just chill and relax. Next week's game will be completely different and for a start we will have our defenders back. Postecoglou is the man to take us forward.
Colin: Very concerned about lack a of transfers in key positions. I know it was only a friendly but the first half looked like boys against men. The second half, with the youngsters, was a far better performance. Let's hope we can bring some quality in before the start of the season because when we lose the ball we are wide open at the back and easy to score against.
Michael: It was a very enjoyable match. I am not sure you can take too much from an obviously under-strength defence. Djed Spence looked OK out of position, with just the one faux pas. Bayern's goals had an element of fortune. Advice to Ange - don't send the kids out on loan, play them. A season's experience in the Premier League works wonders.

'We got 10 days of really solid training'published at 13:11 5 August

Bayern Munich 2-1 Tottenham
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou on defeat to Bayern Munich: "It is fair to say the players were showing the effects of us working hard here for 10 days. I think we'll get an enormous benefit from the camp we've done here though, but in this game we perhaps just paid the price for it.
"The really important thing for us was that we got 10 days of really solid training. The guys will feel the benefits of it when we get back because they have trained that much in this weather. I know from my time here [in Asia] that it's physically and mentally draining. When we get back we'll have a two-week period to freshen them up.
"Pre-season is about getting prepared for the season. We didn't have Destiny Udogie and we haven't had three of our back four for all of pre-season. What's important is the training. As far as I'm aware you don't get points for friendly games."

Bayern Munich 2-1 Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham slipped to their first defeat of pre-season as they were beaten 2-1 by Bayern Munich in front of a 67,000 sell-out crowd in Seoul.
Son Heung-min, James Maddison and summer signings Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall all featured for Spurs, who were outplayed by the Bundesliga giants despite the absence of Harry Kane.
Gabriel Vidovic capitalised on a poor pass out from Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario to give Bayern an early lead, and Leon Goretzka doubled their advantage after the break.
Pedro Porro's 25-yard strike reduced the arrears but Spurs were unable to find an equaliser against Bayern, who also gave former Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha a second-half run out.

Miedema on why she chose Man Citypublished at 12:47 5 August
12:47 5 August
Netherlands striker Vivianne Miedema said she spoke with "multiple clubs" before choosing to sign for Manchester City.
The 28-year-old signed a three-year deal with City in July after leaving Arsenal following the end of her contract.
The Gunners decided against offering Miedema a new deal, despite her scoring 125 goals in 172 appearances for the club.
"I have been in the league for a long time and my gut feeling told me that I really wanted to stay in England," said the WSL's all-time leading goalscorer, who was limited to just eight league appearances over the past two seasons after she tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her left knee in December 2022.
"I have spoken to multiple clubs in England and also abroad, but when I started speaking to City I got really excited - mostly by the way they play, also by how other players talk about the club and how things were going.
"I want to challenge myself. I know this wasn't the easy option, but I got really excited about being part of the City team and that is the reason I followed by gut feeling and went for City."

Man City sign Reading goalkeeper Annetspublished at 12:21 5 August

England youth international goalkeeper Eve Annets has signed for Manchester City on a four-year deal.
The Royals’ academy graduate made three first-team appearances for Reading.
She also made her England Under-19s debut last season in a 5-0 victory over Denmark.
“City is a great club and it’s probably one of the best in the world to be at for a youngster who wants to grow," the 18-year-old said. "There’s nothing better."
Manchester City manager Gareth Taylor added: “Eve is a talented young player. It’s clear she’s someone who wants to learn and raise her game even further.”

What did we learn from Man Utd's US tour?
Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter in the United StatesThe hamstring injury Rasmus Hojlund sustained not long after he had scored an excellent first-half opener against Arsenal at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles at the start of the trip was badly timed.
New arrival Joshua Zirkzee, who was on Netherlands duty at Euro 2024, is one of the players yet to train with the main group so Erik ten Hag again finds himself experimenting with a wide player in a central area.
He virtually admitted he had scrapped last season's idea to push Marcus Rashford through the middle, stating he preferred the England man on the left cutting in.
Jadon Sancho, back in from the cold, has been used in the role. He has not entirely convinced, though.
After flattering to deceive with two excellent pre-season campaigns that dissolved into little of substance when the real thing started, maybe the situation will be reversed this season.
More likely though, Ten Hag will revert to using skipper Bruno Fernandes in the false nine role, particularly as two of the players who have caught the eye on this trip, Mason Mount and Scott McTominay, have done so in the number 10 position.

Six talking points from Liverpool's US tour
Nizaar Kinsella
BBC Sport football news reporterA lack of signings is a great boost for an improving academy structure at Liverpool.
Although guarded in his comments, Slot seemed particularly taken by midfielder Trey Nyoni, 17, who excelled in his pre-season outings and earned significant minutes.
Ben Doak, Luca Stephensen, Amara Nallo, Tyler Morton, Lewis Koumas, James McConnell, Harvey Blair and Owen Beck also played some part in the tour.
Czech goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros, 23, impressed against Manchester United and could be another option.
The likes of Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg were excellent in significant pre-season roles but could still be sold.

What did we learn from Man Utd's US tour?
Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter in the United StatesManchester United completed their three-match tour of the United States with a chastening 3-0 defeat by old rivals Liverpool.
It meant Erik ten Hag's side returned home with a single victory, against Spanish side Real Betis.
Ten Hag did not appear overly concerned at United ending their American tour with defeat by Liverpool in South Carolina.
There was certainly not the air of chaos that surrounded their 2018 tour, which also included a heavy loss to Liverpool but was made more notable because of heavy public criticism of then-executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward by manager Jose Mourinho.
Within five months of United returning to England from that trip, Mourinho was gone.
This time around, Ten Hag has gone out of his way to stress the unity within the Old Trafford camp. In the aftermath of the defeat to Arne Slot's side, he outlined to reporters how keen the new executive structure is to build a squad capable of turning United into contenders again.
