Ayy, I can make threads now. Anyway...
Chunkbase is a website that allows you to basically view your entire world, and all the structures in it, explored or not. Would you consider that cheating in a singleplayer world?
And also, should I open a 1.19 world to get netherite armor/tools before the big changes in 1.20?

Is it like spectator mode where you can even view the ores and veins? Because that's basically x-raying.
And even if it doesn't do that, I personally would consider it unfair, as someone who uses it can skip a few steps in his gameplay experience.
But then again, its' your single player world, it's not like an SMP where you are gaining an unfair advantage over others, so yeah do what you want.

It's not really cheating it's kinda in this area between cheating and not cheating. It's a tool.
You can use it to get a really good idea of where things are and finding a good place to go or build or just find a structure you need for armor trims or something. It can also kinda ruin the experience of exploration and finding things naturally.

cheating: act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, especially in a game or examination.
Using chunkbase to view chunks that you normally wouldn't be able to see gives you an advantage. It'd be like using freecam

If there is no rule against it, it is not cheating.
There's no cheating in singleplayer worlds because there are no rules
However, I would consider using Chunkbase on multiplayer servers a cheat, even if there was no rule against it.

They used to have an ore tool, but it was removed..
I believe it's useful if you at least need to know the general location of a structure/biome, however using it to find loot or mob spawners would be considered cheating(in my opinion)

I’ve only used it for slime chunks in the past, which is alright in my opinion because slime chunks are the most moronic game mechanic ever

It's cheaty especially if you use it to find structures, but on singleplayer it doesn't matter what you do, you decide how you want to play the game.
